hi,
thanks for the feedback - i discovered a similar problem .. i think this is for books only available from amazon.at, but not from amazon.com .. i currently fetch my data through webservice requests to amazon.com - it seems it wouldn't return data for books only available on amazon.at :( i'm not sure yet how to resolve this.. i guess i could try to extract the "language-sharing country group" from the ISBN and decide upon that from which amazon website to fetch it.. i'll think about it :) Hey, we have Signatures !!! Great, isn't it ? ;) |

thanks for the test data :) i have now added a fix .. and it worked with your URLs
it still trys amazon.com first (because if there is information in the US locale, i don't want to fetch the info from .de or anything else) - if this fails .. it will either use the same locale you have provided in the URL (if you pasted a URL) - which seems to be quite a nice workaround.. and.. as a second fallback for normal ISBN pastings.. it will try hardcoded amazon.de (YUCK!).. at least as long as i figure out a way to get from the ISBN to the amazon locale this has to work :) Hey, we have Signatures !!! great!
that's much more comfortable than weread.com where you've to specifically assign "amazon.de" as your search-engine when you're trying to add a local book. |
